A huge ferry crashed into a dock, crushed containers as its ramp broke, blocking the pathway for cars.
People ran away in panic as the boat, which had travelled from Puerto Rico to the Dominican Republic, crashed into a dock during a berthing manoevure.
The accident happened in the port of Sansouci, in the city of Santo Domingo, capital of Dominican Republic.
It damaged the dock and left vehicles on the road unable to get through.
Victor Gomez Casanova, the director of the Dominican Port Authority, said that neither the crew nor any passengers were injured.
Everyone aboard the ferry managed to evacuate the boat without incident.
According to local media, the boat’s ropes collapsed, making it move around 50 feet.
The ramp that connected the boat with the dock also moved, crashing into containers.

Despite the damage, the activity at the port is continuing normally, Casanova said.
But he did say all types of manoeuvre in the port could be risky.
Nestor Gonzalez Garcia, the President of the company Caribe Ferries, told the press the emergency protocol was activate, so nobody was injured.
The boat was not badly damaged and should be back in service within two weeks.
