This is the horrific moment a 15-year-old schoolgirl stabs her classmate outside school with a kitchen knife.
The shocking incident occurred outside the Maria Eugenia Waks school in the city of Saenz Pena, in the northern Argentine province of Chaco.
A video filmed by fellow students shows the aggressor grab the knife from her rucksack which she throws on the ground.
Her friends can be heard shouting: 'Celeste don't do it,' but the teenager ignores their pleas and starts to stab her opponent violently.
Male voices can be heard in the background shouting: 'Not with a knife Celeste, not with a knife.'
Other students step in to separate the pair and they manage to pull the knife off the young girl who shakes herself off, grabs her rucksack and runs away.
High-pitched screaming can be heard in the background as others become aware what has just happened.
The victim of the attack can also be heard moaning and crying in pain as she stumbles around on the spot before collapsing to the ground.
The person filming the video then picks up the weapon, a large kitchen knife, which he shows to the camera, whilst his fellow students shout at him to put it down.
According to local media, the injured girl is 16 years old. She was taken to hospital where she was treated for a superficial wound in the pubic area.
Her attacker was caught Monday evening and is now being held in custody awaiting further action.
The Minister of Provincial Education, Daniel Farias has spoken out about the fight, saying: 'This is a social issue and very complex, it is connected with the violence they live with at home and the surroundings they live in.'
He urged the public not to 'stigmatise these two girls,' assuring that it is 'a problem we see every day, we can't blame the students or the school.
'The fights between youths always existed, what has changed is the methodology.'
Farias said that a team of psychologists and social workers will be visiting the school to work with the institution and the students.
