American man pelted with rocks in Cambodia after stealing truck

An American man was pelted with rocks and beaten by a furious mob after he stole a truck in Cambodia.
Pictures have emerged of computer programmer Jacob Gadikian with blood running down his face after the attack.
He is accused of jumping into the vehicle, which was filled with earth, after the owner left the keys in the ignition last Friday.
Gadikian, from Buffalo, New York, was chased by dozens of locals on mopeds as he ploughed through traffic at around 4pm.
He eventually came to a stop before outraged locals smashed the window, hurled rocks and dragged him from the seat. He was then attacked as he cowered on the ground.
Onlooker Tom Grundy, a journalist from Hong Kong who was in the area at the time and filmed the clip, said he thought the noise was from a political rally.
He added: 'Dozens of locals dragged him from the cabin - this guy, he was already quite bloodied up - and the police were there quite rapidly and they dragged him over to the side.'
Police chief Keo Sokha claimed Gadikian, who lives in Siem Reap according to social media, was 'on drugs' after he was arrested following the incident in the city's Daun Phen region.
But he said authorities had not charged Gadikian as nobody was injured and the owner of the damaged car had not made a complaint.
Keo Sarun, Chamkarmon Deputy District police chief added: 'The driver of the truck did not remove the key, and the foreigner on drugs went into the truck and drove it into another car when the owner of the car learned the foreigner was on drugs, he did not file a complaint.'
Gadikian has bow been handed over to US Embassy officials, who are 'offering consular assistance', according to local media reports.
