Shocking dashcam footage has emerged of the terrifying moment a truck overturned on a Queensland highway after ploughing through the back of several vehicles queuing to exit the motorway during rush hour.
The freight truck was travelling along the Logan Motorway on May 30 as it joined the exit lane leading onto Wembley Road.
As it approached a line of stationary cars, it appears the driver showed no attempts to stop and smashed into the line of cars, which rolled the lorry in the huge collision.
The two cars at the back of the queue appeared mangled as motorists and passengers from surrounding vehicles jumped out and pulled the truck driver to safety at the side of the road.
Emergency services soon arrived on the scene shortly after the incident at 4.25pm.
The truck driver lay motionless as paramedics treated him as he was eventually stretchered into an ambulance.
The footage was captured by Jono Noonan who posted the video on YouTube.
He claims eight cars were damaged in the horror crash and a number of people were injured, however later reports have confirmed six vehicles were involved.
He also said the footage had been handed to police to assist their ongoing investigations.
It has been confirmed that miraculously only two people were injured in the heart-stopping collision, with neither suffering serious injuries.
Queensland Police have been contacted for further information regarding the crash.
