A group of young cheerleaders came much closer to action on the field than they would have liked when a 90kilogram player clattered into them as they sat by the fence.
Wests Tigers' Kevin Naiqama was chasing a kick during his team's game against the Sydney Roosters on Sunday when he took a diving leap that left him skidding across the grass into the unsuspecting girls.
Naiqama, 28, collected at least two of the young girls, who appeared to be aged about 10 or 11, as he knocked into them. No one appeared to be injured in the clash, and Naiqama helped the girls up before returning to the field.
