A police officer has been jailed for two years after he was filmed beating up a suspected paedophile by kicking him in the groin.
The man had allegedly confessed to raping a young girl after being arrested and taken into custody.
But the young sergeant decided to dispense his own form of justice and took his chance when a senior colleague left the room.
The policeman was caught on CCTV inside the police station attacking the suspect with his truncheon, feet and fist, in the city of Satbayev in central Kazakhstan.
The unnamed 50-year-old suspect groans in pain as he is beaten, including one heavy kick to the groin that nearly makes him fall to the floor.
It was reported that the parents of a young girl contacted police to say that they had found their daughter in the suspect's flat.
The suspect's court date is still said to be a month away and he remains in custody awaiting trial.
The junior sergeant who beat him has been sacked, jailed for two years and been barred from any public sector job for 18 months following his sentence.
