A police officer has shot an allegedly suicidal hospital prisoner dead after the man pointed a Taser at him and a nurse.
Bodycam footage shows the horrific moment prisoner, Cody O'Bryan, is killed with one shot after trying to use the stun gun on hospital staff and officers.
Las Vegas Metro Police are now investigating why the 31-year-old man was left in a room alone with a bag which contained the stun gun, and why he had not been properly restrained to his hospital bed.
Officers received a call from O'Bryan on Sunday when he called the emergency services and claimed he was feeling suicidal.
He said he was going to "blast it out with officers" and alleged that he had a loaded pistol on his person.
After attending the scene, officers discovered that O'Bryan had a warrant from parole and probation for gross misdemeanour and attempted battery with substantial bodily harm, prompting them to arrest him.
