Horrifying footage captured a boy clambering over a safety chain fitted to a thrill-seeking fairground ride as it spun round at high speed.
Shocking pictures show the daredevil appearing to stand on a harness used to pin back ride-goers on the Meteorite ride while other youngsters are seen strapped in.
One stunned bystander said he feared the boy could die as dozens witnessed the terrifying scenes at Hull Fair.
The witness told Mirror Online: "I was just stood watching the ride and all of a sudden I saw this boy climb over the safety chain.
"He was stood on it while the ride was spinning around at high speed.
