A Good Samaritan was allegedly beaten with a glass tube and stabbed in the torso in a horrific newsagent attack after trying to break up a fight.
The 23-year-old victim had attempted to diffuse a dispute between two men and a group of other people in the early hours of the morning, police say.
After a verbal altercation, he was chased by the pair into a shop in central London.
One man hit him with a glass tube, while another knifed him in the torso during the attack at around 5.30am on September 23, according to the Met Police.
The victim was taken to an east London hospital, where he was treated for a broken rib and a cut to his lung. He has since been discharged and is recovering.
