A truck which exploded into a deadly fireball after skidding into a central reservation barrier on a motorway has killed three and left another injured.
The vehicle, which was carrying crude oil drums and weighed two-and-a-half tonnes, rammed into cars before catching fire just before entering a tunnel.
Within moments, the fire had spread and engulfed nine other vehicles also travelling on the road.
Initial reports suggested that the body of a baby had been found amongst the debris, but police later updated their statement to confirm that there was no infant fatality.
The bodies of three other people have been found, with the charred remains of one woman appearing to have died while clutching something in her arms.
The freak accident occurred just before the Changwon Tunnel in the South Gyeongsang Province of South Korea today, at around 1.20pm local time.
Firefighters have said the bodies of those killed in the accident were so badly damaged that it will take some time to identify them properly.
