A gangster rapper who was part of a gang that targeted two 'petite' women and squirted ammonia in their faces has been jailed for 10 years.
Sadik Kamara, known as 'Trizzy Trapz', Joshua Jordan, and three other thugs carried out the 'horrifying, cruel and barbaric' robberies in London earlier this year.
A court heard how the gang would target their victims and then squirt the corrosive fluid into their mouths when they called for help.
Shocking CCTV footage shows Kamara, 24, Joshua Jordan, 20, and three others bursting into a Hackney supermarket before squirting drain cleaner into cashier Quyen Bui's face.
The 'remarkably brave' victim, 51, tried to fight the hooded men off and pressed the store's panic button as she writhed in agony on the floor.
Minutes later the attackers sprayed ammonia into Thi Le Nguyen's face and swiped her handbag as she walked to a friend's house in nearby Hassett Road.
The pair were heard laughing as they ran away along a nearby street.
But they were arrested on May 11 and convicted of attempted robbery and applying a corrosive fluid with intent to burn, maim, disfigure or disable or to do some grievous bodily harm.
Police are yet to identify the other three gang members.
Kamara and Jordan were jailed for 10 years at the Old Bailey today and will serve at least two thirds of their sentence in prison.
Some £2,000 seized from Kamara's jacket when he was arrested will be split between his victims as compensation.
Judge John Dodd, QC, told them: "These are dreadful, indeed shocking offences.
"You chose to rob women who would have stood no chance against you, part of a gang of five men, even if you had been unarmed, but you still thought it right to take corrosive fluid with you and to use it absolutely gratuitously against two slightly-built women who will for many years remember what you did to them this year.
"Mercifully neither of them suffered permanent disfigurement."
Prosecutor Benn Maguire had told the court how the five men who prey on women to attack and rob
He said: 'The crown's case was at trial that they selected women who were petite and obviously the Crown would say that they were vulnerable.
'During the robbery and undoubtedly to instil fear in the minds of their victims, these defendants sprayed ammonia into the faces of their victims.
'Any attempt to shout for help as a result of the attack resulted in ammonia being sprayed into their mouths.
'It's obvious that ammonia being sprayed at the skin can indeed result in horrific burns and excruciating pain and disfigurement.'
Ms Bui revealed her eyesight and sense of taste have been permanently affected after the attack.
She said in an impact statement: 'After the incident I was so terrified that I could not go to work.
'In the past I could read the writing on, for example receipts, without any problem but it is not the case any more.
'I am now wearing glasses of 2.00 lens power. I am still in a state of fear and so have decided to give up the job.'
An investigation was launched by detectives by Hackney CID, and Kamara and Joshua were identified as suspects after extensive CCTV enquiries.
A few hours after the robberies Kamara went to hospital claiming he had accidentally burnt himself with ammonia whilst cleaning.
At the time he was subject to a suspended six-month prison sentence, having been convicted in late 2016 for possession of an offensive weapon and assault on a police officer.
He was found with a knife during a stop and search.
Kamara admitted applying a corrosive fluid with intent to burn, maim, disfigure or disable or to do some grievous bodily harm and Jordan, of Ruscoe Road, Canning Town, was convicted after a trial.
Both men had previously pleaded guilty to attempted robbery.
Kamara, of Booth Road, Canning Town, has gained hundreds of thousands of views on his YouTube rap videos.
He will serve his 10-year sentence in a young offenders' institute.
Jordan, of Ruscoe Road, Newham, was also jailed for 10 years.
