'Unlicensed' BMW driver kills cyclist after ploughing into nine cars in shocking CCTV footage

This is the shocking moment an 'unlicensed' driver speeds in the wrong direction and crashes her brand-new BMW into nine cars, a scooter and a bicycle.



The woman suffered serious injuries during the crash and is one of three people still receiving treatment, while the cyclist she slammed into sadly died at the scene.



She does not have a driving licence, according to local media.



The accident was captured by CCTV cameras in Shantou City in China's southern Guangdong Province and is said to have taken place outside the Vienna Hotel.



The clip shows the woman's white BMW, which was still using temporary number plates, veering into the opposite lane and slamming into the cyclist who flies up into the air during the horrific accident.



The BMW then crashes into the parked cars, damaging no fewer than nine of them while also destroying an electric scooter in the process.



Local authorities rushed the injured to a local hospital before detaining the driver and getting her medical treatment.



Fortunately, the cars she crashed into were all unoccupied at the time.



The three other injured included the driver and two pedestrians, the police said.



The woman has been identified as a local hotel employee.



The police are still investigating.
