A bus driver attacked one of his passengers after accusing him of ringing the bell too much.
The commuter, David Perez, was said to be annoyed that the driver missed his stop, so kept hitting the button.
Commuters heading home after a long day in the office found themselves having to wade in to stop the man in charge of the vehicle seriously injuring his victim.
Astonishing footage showed him punching helpless Mr Perez repeatedly as he tried to wrap himself into a ball in his seat.
At one point the driver even tried to throttle him by wrapping his right hand round his throat before the youngster on the receiving end of his fury managed to get away.
A furious woman trying to get home from work could be heard yelling at the unnamed driver after he was finally made to see sense and stop his vicious assault.
She shouted: “I’m going to file a formal complaint.
“I’m tired and am trying to get home from work and don’t need this sort of thing happening.
The incident happened on Tuesday night on a bus operated by a private firm in Colombia which formed part of a massive transport system operating in the city of Cartagena called Transcaribe.
Local reports said the the driver had lost his temper after deciding Mr Perez had been ringing the stop bell “too insistently.
