More than a dozen brave rescuers formed a human chain across a frozen lake to rescue a toddler who had fallen in.
One man even dived into the sub-zero water to save the young child, who looks to be about 18 months old, from drowning in the icy lake.
The other volunteers, both men and women, risked the ice collapsing below them as they held hands and walked out across the lake.
The boy had been playing with his family on the frozen water at Cao Xueqing Culture Park in Tangshan City in north China, when the ice started to crack open.
