Police have released horrific dash cam footage of a teenager being shot dead by officers to clear up "misinformation" about the shooting.
Charles Smith Jr, 17, died following an "officer involved shooting" just after 1am on Sunday when a car carrying three men was stopped in North Little Rock, Arkansas, US.
And in an apparent attempt to quell any public anger over his death, police chiefs have released footage of the incident to quash rumours such as he was unarmed.
Dash cam video shows Smith Jr was in possession of a gun, which he used to open fire during a struggle with officers by the side of the road, police say.
