Terrified tourists were trapped more than 100ft up in the air when a ride at Australia's largest theme park malfunctioned.
Six people were stuck when Dreamworld's Buzzsaw attraction suddenly stopped two-thirds of the way up.
Witnesses said they could hear children screaming out for help as staff took 30 minutes to free the thrillseekers.
They were eventually evacuated from the ride using safety stairs.
A park spokeswoman blamed the ride's sensors for the sudden stop at about 1.40pm local time.
She told 9News : "All of our rides are fitted with computer-operated controlled stop sensors and are an essential component of this ride’s safety features."
