Mystery surrounds the death of a man who lay undiscovered in a McDonald's toilet cubicle for eight hours until a customer noticed blood seeping from behind the door.
Police said the only clue into his death was an empty syringe on the floor next to the corpse, identified as a 44-year-old with the surname Chiu.
No ID or other documents were found with the body.
Footage from the McDonald's in south-western Taiwan's Tainan City captured what is believed to be the last time Chiu was seen alive as he disappears into the toilets on the ground floor of the restaurant.
