A charter bus carrying high school students had its roof torn off in a horror crash that left more than 40 people injured.
Almost everyone on board was hurt when the bus crashed into a flyover on a Long Island motorway in New York, leaving some trapped inside.
One person was in a critical condition, while five others had suffered serious injuries including broken bones, according to reports.
The bus was carrying 38 high school students and five chaperones who had just landed at New York's JFK International Airport after a spring break trip to eastern Europe, plus the driver.
