An ambulance rushing a critically ill child to hospital was lucky to be able to continue to hospital after a car crashed into it at a cross-section.
An investigation has been launched after the driver was caught on camera ploughing into the emergency vehicle – despite its sirens wailing and lights flashing.
Dashcam footage shows paramedics weaving through traffic on blue lights towards the Royal Oldham Hospital, reports the Manchester Evening News .
The ambulance can be seen continuing through a set of lights before a blue car pulls out of the road to the right.
The footage then shows the car smashing into the ambulance, causing it to swerve.
