The moment a gang of football hooligans chase down and mercilessly kick an opposition supporter as he lies helplessly in the street has been captured by a police helicopter.
The horrific incident was recorded on camera by the police unit as violence erupted in the streets following a game between Grimsby Town and Sheffield United.
Following a lengthy police probe, 26 fans - involving supporters from both teams - have now been sentenced, Grimsby Telegraph reports.
But despite graphic footage of some of the violence, all escaped prison sentences.
Police warned football troublemakers that they will not tolerate violence from fans — but insisted they are “not here to stop people having fun”.
