A champion rodeo rider has died after being violently trampled by a bull just seconds after entering the ring.
Cowboy Giliard Antonio, one of the best riders in Brazil, suffered severe internal injuries just two weeks after returning to the sport following a year-long injury lay-off.
The experienced rider suffered the brutal injuries after his hand became stuck in his harness as the bucking animal stomped on his chest.
The incident happened before a packed stadium in the 46th Maringá Agricultural and Commercial Trade Fair staged in south Brazil.
