A huge explosion at a Russian military munitions store sent neighbours fleeing for their lives.
Hundreds of firefighters were called to the site and around 2,000 people were forced to evacuate their homes.
Loud blasts were heard from the store as ammunition blew up, causing panic.
A massive operation was underway today to douse the inferno - burning since yesterday - with 435 firefighters and more than 100 appliances involved.
Authorities believe that "illegal" grass burning got out of control and caused the drama.
A fire train was deployed and “water bombing” aircraft were being used to extinguish the fire.
