A high school prom came crashing to a stop Thursday night, when the dinner boat cruise that was rented for the party hit another boat while docked in Hoboken, New Jersey.
The incident happened around 7.30pm, at the 14th Street Pier on the Hudson River. The Weehawken High School prom was slated to kick off a half-hour before, but the boat was still docked.
About 95 students and 11 faculty members had boarded the 111-foot yacht Cornucopia, when it suddenly drove into the empty 95-foot Sundancer, pressing the smaller boat into the pier and bringing down a light post.
