At least four people died and five were injured, according to media reports, after a gas pipeline exploded in Ahvaz in southwestern Iran on Thursday.
The explosion was caused by a gas leakage in a pipeline linking the southwestern cities of Mahshahr and Ahvaz, according to local media reports. Several vehicles in the vicinity were reported to have caught fire as a result of the explosion.
A woman and child were reportedly among the fatalities. Emergency services are attending the area.
