A Current Affair reporter Sam Cucciara found himself in the middle of a neighborhood dispute and soaking wet courtesy of a trigger happy gentleman with a garden hose.
The Channel 9 journalist was covering a story in Blackburn in Melbourne’s east involving public housing tenants on one side of the street and a disability pensioner on the other.
Margaret Stokes, 59, told ACA she is terrified of her neighbors and too scared to leave the house.
“I would not be surprised if they killed us,” Margaret told the program.
“I can’t do anything. I’m just trapped.”
When Cucciara and the camera crew approached Margaret’s neighbors, Rob Rakei and his daughter Sage, he was met by several youths with a garden hose who began spraying him directly in the face and soaking his clothes.
