WOODLAND HILLS, CA — Los Angeles Police are looking for a gunman suspected of firing on a pro-Trump caravan in Woodland Hills.
The incident forced the closure of Ventura Boulevard and triggered a 5-hour standoff at an apartment complex where three suspects were believed to be holed up. A Los Angeles Police Department SWAT Team surrounded the building, launched a chemical irritant inside and entered the unit at about 5 p.m. to find it empty.
Police responded to a report of gunshots at a caravan rally in support of President Donald Trump in the 20600 block of Ventura Boulevard at about 11:30 a.m. Sunday. No one was wounded in the shooting. It remained unclear Sunday evening if detectives were able to confirm that the alleged shooting took place.
