Support for the Black Lives Matter movement has cratered over the past three months — as some protests led by the group have descended into violence and looting, a new poll has found.
A majority of American adults — 55 percent — said they either strongly or somewhat supported BLM now, a decrease from 67 percent in June, according to the Pew Research Center survey released Wednesday.
The percentage of those who say they strongly support the movement is also down, from 38 percent three months ago to 29 percent now.
