BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — Bakersfield police officers were called to Rosedale Highway and Coffee Road to break up confrontations and reports of fighting between groups of President Trump and Black Lives Matter supporters.
Officers were called to the intersection Saturday at around 3 p.m. A department spokesperson said officers were called to keep the two groups apart, making sure tensions didn’t escalate further. It wasn’t clear what prompted the confrontation, but video from the scene shows two people throwing punches at one another and the man in a black T-shirt upending a table as he walked away.
Police said no injuries were reported and they are looking for a man involved for misdemeanor battery. Police described the man as being 6 feet tall, weighing 350 pounds and had a beard. He was wearing a black T-shirt and blue jeans.
No arrests were made and no injuries were reported in the incident.
