In Heerlen, Netherlands, a conflict between a Syrian refugee family and local residents gets so out of hand that the family members have temporarily moved elsewhere. The municipality informs the police in a joint message that measures are being taken.
A video is circulating on social media showing that, among other things, the front door of the family is being hammered and that an incendiary bomb has been thrown at the house.
The entire dispute allegedly started when the male in the refugee apartment started harassing women in the area, particularly young ones, even taking photos at the local playground.
According to local residents, this was a reaction to the behavior of the Syrian man, who would harass women and children in the neighborhood, De Limburger writes. The man is also said to have made videos of children at a primary school. Nuisance has been reported for at least a year.
It's been reported by Dutch media the Syrian family has been relocated by the state.
