“Although the 73-year-old was questioned by the State Attorney's Office in Split for attempting to kill a 60-year-old neighbor who was hit in the head with a pickax two days ago in a village near Zagvozd, he was released to defend himself.
The only measure he received was a mandatory report to the police and a ban on approaching and contacting the victim.
Many in professional circles are wondering why the prosecution was satisfied with such a measure, and the public is unpleasantly surprised by this decision of the State Attorney's Office.
