Australia started out as the world's largest prison colony. Nearly 250 years later, the land down under has come full circle with the new, ultra-draconian lockdowns, now enforced with thousands of police in places like Sidney.
Just take a look at this video that shows an endless line of police vehicles and paddy-wagons, ready to imprison citizens for daring to go outside their homes in an unauthorized manner.
And if you didn't think this was all bad enough, defence soldiers will soon help NSW Police enforce Sydney’s lockdown.
NSW police commissioner Mick Fuller has called for 300 Australian Defence Force personnel to help with enforcing health restrictions.
“With an increase in enforcement activity over the coming week, I have now made a formal request to the Prime Minister for ADF personnel to assist with that operation,” Fuller says.
Australian officials decided to clamp down in a Chinese-communist style after thousands protested the new lockdowns.
The Aussie government started locking down after just 100 cases per day in a country of 25 million. There was one death, a man 98 years old.
