Police are asking for help identifying a man who reportedly knocked another man unconscious before robbing him in Seattle’s Mount Baker neighborhood on Saturday evening. The attack was caught on video.
Authorities said at around 6:15 p.m., the victim was approached by a man in a parking lot in the 2800 block of Rainier Avenue South.
The attacker attempted to grab the man’s cellphone, then threw the victim to the ground, stomped on him and repeatedly kicked him, knocking him unconscious, police said.
Authorities said the attacker then went through the victim’s pockets and stole his wallet and keys before fleeing.
The victim was taken to Harborview Medical Center after a bystander assisted him and called 911, according to police. The victim was treated for head trauma and injuries to his face.
Police described the attacker as a Black man who is 5 feet, 10 inches tall. He is of medium build and weighs about 180 pounds. He was wearing an orange and yellow T-shirt and black pants with a white stripe down the side.
