A woman was repeatedly punched in the face by an unhinged mugger and dragged from an elevator inside a Harlem subway stop, a disturbing new video shows.
The 36-year-old woman was attacked and robbed just before 10:30 p.m. on Nov. 1 inside the subway station at 125 Street and Lexington Avenue in East Harlem, police said.
The video, released by cops on Wednesday, shows the attacker approaching the woman inside the elevator and the two appearing to exchange words.
The man quickly becomes irate, starts screaming at the woman and gets in her face, the video shows.
The woman tries to push the unknown man away, but the attacker grabs her purple jacket with his left hand and forcefully punches her three times in the face with his right.
The attacker then throws the woman to the ground and drags her by her legs out of the elevator, the video shows.
