Via New York Daily:
ain Velasquez, a former two-time UFC heavyweight champion, will remain behind bars as he awaits trial on charges of attempting to murder a man accused of molesting his 4-year-old relative.
Judge Shelyna Brown of Santa Clara County Superior Court denied bail for the 39-year-old former fighter, who is due back in court on April 12.
Velasquez was arrested in San Jose last week after he chased a pickup truck through busy streets spanning three different cities across Silicon Valley. Prosecutors said he rammed his own pickup truck into the other vehicle and fired a .40-caliber pistol several times amid the 11-mile, high-speed pursuit.

Velasquez was allegedly targeting 43-year-old Harry Goularte, who just days earlier was granted supervised release on charges that he molested one of Velasquez’s young relatives inside a San Martin daycare, run by his mother. The child, who is younger than 10, told authorities that Goularte would take him into the bathroom and touch him inappropriately, ESPN reported.
The boy said it happened at least “100 times,” and that he was not the only victim.
