WATERTOWN — A 4-year-old girl killed in a farming accident last weekend is being remembered as a “gift to all who knew her,” according to her obituary.
Ellie Kuslis was killed Saturday after police said she became entangled in a slice seeder attached to the back of a tractor on her family’s farm. The medical examiner’s office has ruled the death an accident.
Watertown police said first responders were called to the area of the Kuslis Farm on Barnes Road around 3:20 p.m. Saturday for a report of a child trapped under a tractor.
Police said the child “had became entangled within a slice seeder,” a piece of machinery attached to the rear of the tractor. The vehicle was being operated by the girl’s father, and was stationary at the time of the incident, but the seeder “remained engaged,” police said.
