A White Man Showed Up At The Justice For Jayland Walker Protest And Was Met With Nasty Hostility

This white man showed up to the Justice For Jayland Walker protest in Akron yesterday and was immediately surrounded by an angry group of black protesters.

The unidentified white man was asking questions about what really happened the night police shot Walker and asked why was Walker fleeing and why he shot a gun. The mob didn't want to hear any of it and things got overheated quickly.

Friday marked the third day of protests over the Akron police shooting death of 25-year-old Jayland Walker, an Akron DoorDash driver who was killed by multiple shots following a police chase on Monday.

The details surrounding Walker's shootings remain unclear. Police have offered a general outline of what happened, saying officers tried to pull over Walker around 12:30 a.m. Monday in the city's North Hill neighborhood for a traffic and equipment violation. Walker fled, and police chased him just more than 4 minutes across town to the Firestone Park area.

Along the way, police said Walker fired a gun before abandoning his vehicle in a parking lot near the Bridgestone Americas campus. Several officers and police cars arrived on the scene and at least some used stun guns to try to stop Walker before officers opened fire.

Police said they later found a gun in Walker's vehicle.

Black Lives Matter posted on social media that Walker was shot 60 times but there is no evidence of that as of yet. Early reports state Walker may have been shot up to 12 times.
