Perhaps the worst way to spend a day at the fair is coming face-to-face with a raging bull. But that’s what happened to some unlucky visitors at the Florida State Fairgrounds in Tampa.
The bull was being used as part of the rodeo competition, and if you’ve ever seen a bull in a rodeo, you already know he probably has a good reason to be angry. So imagine one of those bulls escaping the arena and rushing into the crowd.
As relayed by WFLA-TV, video of the incident was recorded by Cristopher Thornton, who also described the scene. The handlers were actually trying to line up two bulls at the gate where the cowboys begin, when this particular bull “bucked off one of the side panels of the gate, and was able to run loose.”
After making a mad dash around the stands, however, the animal was brought to a halt by one courageous cowboy with a lasso. Others returned him to inside the gate, though it took a little effort, to say the least.
