Racist AF Joy Reid Took A Massive, Angry $hit On Thanksgiving

Controversial MSNBC host Joy Reid waged war on Thanksgiving ahead of the cherished national holiday, claiming it’s a “simplistic fairytale” perpetuated by the right to hide how the US was really founded on “genocide” and ongoing “white supremacy.”

The 53-year-old opened Wednesday night’s episode of her show with a tease that she was celebrating the “cherished tradition” of the holiday enjoyed by “millions of Americans.”

It is a “day we gather with friends and family to enjoy turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes and pumpkin pie,” she said with a smile, chuckling as she joked about loved ones arguing about politics.

The left-leaning anchor then went on to say she’d be “unpacking” the Thanksgiving traditions of food, football and family.

“But it is also important to unpack the myth of Thanksgiving,” Reid went on, saying that we “shouldn’t buy into the white-washed history” of what she dismissed as a “food holiday.”

And then the “ReidOut” host turned really sour.

“It is a holiday riddled with historical inaccuracies, built on this myth that the indigenous welcomed their colonizers with open arms and ears of corn,” Reid said.

“A simplistic fairytale interpretation of a 1621 encounter between indigenous tribes and English settlers that erases the genocide that followed.”

“It is the truth that Republicans want banned from our textbooks because here is the secret they want so desperately to keep: We are a country founded on violence. Our birth was violent,” she concluded.

Instead of giving thanks, the holiday really reflects the pain of “two centuries of American slavery that left millions in chains or dead,” Reid continued.

“When those humans in bondage were finally free, a terrorist organization that was a card-carrying member of polite society, the Ku Klux Klan, picked up where the civil war ended, using violence to maintain white supremacy,” she said.

What’s more, “the Klan and its ilk are still active, and as Americans we continue to choose violence,” Reid continued — suggesting the same people hiding the “genocide” behind Thanksgiving were also to blame for the alarming spate of mass shootings.

While “our country is thankfully not being invaded by a foreign power, as is Ukraine …. our people are facing the same kinds of weapons that these people are facing in war,” she said in the same monologue.

“Republicans made sure of that,” she stated.
