On Thursday (March 2), a 40-year-old Skoda Octavia driver was brought to the prosecutor's office in Drawsko, who had driven into a petrol station building in Drawsko Pomorskie the night before.
- After the interrogation, the man was charged with destruction of property of significant value and exposure to a direct threat to the life of a gas station employee - says prosecutor Łucja Laufer, district prosecutor of the District Prosecutor's Office in Drawsko Pomorskie. – Both at the stage of the proceedings conducted by the police and by the prosecutor, the suspect made explanations as to the circumstances of the event, he formally confessed, but due to the good of the investigation, I cannot talk about them at this stage. They will be verified by us.
The prosecutor decided to apply to the court for a temporary arrest for a 40-year-old resident of Drawsko Pomorskie. - The application is justified due to the amount of the imminent penalty and the possibility of misrepresentation - adds Łucja Laufer. On Friday, the court decided - the 40-year-old will spend the next 3 months in custody. - The court agreed with the prosecutor's request. In addition, there was an attempt to escape and deception - said Judge Sławomir Przykucki, spokesman for the District Court in Koszalin.
Let us remind you that the dangerous event took place on the night of Tuesday to Wednesday (February 28/March 1) just after midnight. A passenger car drove into the IMSO petrol station store at Gdyńska Street in Drawsko Pomorskie. The Skoda Octavia rammed the front door and drove inside the store, smashing the shelves along the way and stopping on the wall. A station employee suffered minor injuries, but after being examined by the emergency medical team, it turned out that nothing serious had happened to him and he remained at the scene. There was also no damage to the fuel and gas installations at the station.
The driver was sober, but due to the nature of the incident, blood was also taken from him for further testing.
- However, we will have to wait a bit for the results of laboratory tests in terms of the content of prohibited substances - says younger aspirant Karolina Żych, spokeswoman for the Drawsko police headquarters.
