EL PASO, Texas [KFOX14] — As the future of Title 42 remains uncertain, many migrants continue living on the streets of El Paso.
The reason a large group of migrants remain on the street is because some do not have the resources to move out of El Paso on their own while others are untrustworthy of the help being offered by the city.
In the last week the City of El Paso converted the Convention Center to serve as a shelter for up to 1,000 migrants who have their CBP paperwork.
However, because many migrants living outside of the Sacred Heart Church lack the paperwork, they are afraid of being turned into federal authorities and have instead chosen to stay out the streets.
