A major accident took place during the Kalash Yatra on Monday morning in Bihar's Sheikhpura district. In Rasalpur village under Sadar block of Sheikhpura district, on Monday morning, the chariot of Kalash Yatra taken out for the yagya came in contact with high capacity electric wire.
8 people got electrocuted after coming in contact with the electric wire. Two youths died in this. At the same time, five to six people are being treated at Sadar Hospital.
The villagers told that a yagya was organized in the village. Regarding this, the Kalash Yatra was taken out by 501 girls. Kalash Yatra was to be toured across the village. Meanwhile, arrangements were made to remove the chariot and the Kalash Yatra from the field.
In this, an electric wire of high capacity was hanging down. The trishul mounted on top of the chariot came in contact with it and the people riding on the chariot were electrocuted. In this, 30-year-old Bhole Shankar, 26-year-old Viru Kumar and 25-year-old Raju Kumar were badly burnt.
Prior to the cooperation of the local villagers with the cooperation of the police and administration, everyone was referred to a private clinic in Sheikhpura, where the doctor referred them to Sadar Hospital, seeing all in critical condition. Here, doctors declared Veeru Kumar and Raju Kumar dead.
