The incident occurred at around 16:00 in a metal manufacturing factory on 10643rd Street in Fevzi Çakmak Neighborhood of Karatay district. Hakan Filiz was mixing paint in the cauldron as he climbed into the mixer when an explosion occurred. Filiz fell, and his clothes caught fire after the explosion, and his colleagues intervened. Hakan Filiz, who had burns on various parts of his body, was taken to Konya City Hospital by ambulance. Filiz, who is receiving treatment, is reported to be in good health.
Meanwhile, the explosion was captured on the workplace's security camera. The footage shows Hakan Filiz climbing onto the cauldron and mixing paint with a mixer when the explosion occurred, him being thrown into the air and falling, him trying to extinguish his own burning clothes, and then his colleagues rushing to help and intervening. An investigation has been launched into the incident.
