Woman sentenced to life in prison for locking her boyfriend in a suitcase.
Sarah Boone, who went through 8 different lawyers, was sentenced to life after being convicted of second-degree murder.
Boone says she was playing a "game" when she zipped her boyfriend in a suitcase and refused to let him out.
The woman's ninth attorney said Boone was a victim of "battered spouse syndrome," which was the reason she left Jorge Torres Jr. to die.
Boone testified that she thought the suitcase would be a good place to have a conversation with Torres Jr. because she was "terrified."
"I wanted him to try to understand how I felt so maybe he could progress and be a better person," she said.
