This Hospital In India Is Straight Out Of A Horror Movie
21 days ago
Hospitals are supposed to represent order: clean corridors, controlled environments, places where illness is treated—not multiplied. That sense of order broke down dramatically in Gonda, India, after rats were filmed moving freely inside a hospital ward filled with patients.
The footage, recorded inside the orthopaedics ward at the state medical college in Gonda, shows rodents roaming the clinic floor in plain sight. Patients, many of them immobilised due to injuries or surgery, were forced to watch as rats moved through the space where they were meant to recover.
Once the video surfaced online, it spread rapidly and triggered public outrage. Authorities responded with sharp criticism of the hospital’s management, calling the situation unacceptable and demanding immediate corrective action. The presence of rodents inside an active hospital ward raised serious concerns about hygiene, infection risk, and basic patient safety.
In response, poison was placed inside the orthopaedics ward to eliminate the rodents, and an official investigation has been launched to determine how the infestation was allowed to reach this point. Officials are now examining sanitation protocols and oversight failures at the facility.
