Motorcyclist Flies Through And Intersection And Hitting A Bus With An Open Door, Lands Inside Of It

A motorcyclist who tore through an intersection in Colombia had a miracle escape after being launched off his bike and into a moving bus, because the side door happened to be wide open.

CCTV and onboard cameras captured the hair-raising moment in the centre of Guadalajara de Buga, Valle del Cauca, on 30 August. The rider failed to stop at Calle 7 with Carrera 13 and smashed into the side of a public bus travelling across his path.

Instead of being crushed against the metal bodywork, he was catapulted through the open doorway and dumped on the floor among startled passengers. Seconds later he clambered to his feet, looking dazed but conscious, and stepped back out onto the street under his own steam.

Local reports said he was taken to a nearby clinic as a precaution and that his motorcycle was immobilised. There was no immediate official confirmation of serious injury.

Footage circulating online shows the impact from both outside and inside the vehicle. Passengers recoil as the rider bursts in at speed. The bus keeps rolling after the collision.

The clip exploded across social media after being shared by commentator Mario Nawfal, who quipped that the rider had “timed it perfectly” and should “buy a ticket, nobody gets a free ride.”

Authorities have not publicly detailed whether he ran a stop sign or a red light, only that he failed to brake at the crossing.

Open-door bus travel is not unheard of on busy Colombian routes, but safety campaigners have long warned that motorcycles and urban buses make a lethal mix when riders treat junctions as optional.

This time, the door that should have been shut became the difference between a viral clip and a funeral. The biker got the ride of his life. He just didn’t pay for it.
