These Floridian Boaters Rescuing To Paddleboard Babes Got A Little Too Handsy
36 days ago
A viral rescue video out of Miami somehow managed to turn a routine “don’t die in the inlet” moment into a full-blown internet culture war, because of course it did.
The clip, originally filmed back in December 2025 at Haulover Inlet, shows a group of boaters pulling stranded paddleboarders out of nasty tides. On its face, it’s classic Florida content. Strong current, people in over their heads, boat guys swooping in to help. End of story. Except the internet never does end of story.
Instead, commenters locked onto two very specific details and absolutely lost their minds.
First anomaly: one of the rescue boats is flying an Israeli flag. That was enough to send certain corners of social media into a spiral. What should’ve been a simple “hey good job not letting someone drown” moment instantly turned into accusations of pro-Israel propaganda. Some commenters acted like the flag was personally placed there to make a geopolitical statement during a paddleboard rescue, because apparently even the ocean isn’t neutral territory anymore.
Second anomaly: during the rescue, one of the men lifting a woman out of the water appears to have his hand placed squarely on her butt. Cue the slow motion replays, zoom ins, freeze frames, and armchair body mechanics experts. Some viewers argued it was a necessary grip given the rough conditions and awkward lift. Others were not buying it at all and accused the rescuer of taking advantage of the moment for a quick grope.
