Rapper Lil Jon's Son Found Dead In A Pond Near His Georgia Home Days After Reported Missing

The son of rapper Lil Jon was found dead in a pond near his Georgia home days after he was reported missing, according to local authorities.
Nathan Smith, the son of Lil Jon, whose legal name is Jonathan H. Smith, was discovered in a pond near the family’s residence in Milton, Georgia, the Milton Police Department confirmed. Police said there is currently no indication of foul play.
Lil Jon confirmed the death in a public statement posted to Instagram, saying he and Nathan’s mother, Nicole Smith, are devastated by the loss.
“I am extremely heartbroken for the tragic loss of our son, Nathan Smith,” the rapper wrote. “His mother, Nicole Smith, and I are devastated.”
Police said Nathan was last seen running out of his home before going missing. Following a search, officers located his body in a nearby pond. Authorities stated that the investigation remains ongoing but emphasized that evidence gathered so far does not suggest criminal activity.
In his statement, Lil Jon described his son as kind, thoughtful and deeply devoted to his family and friends. He also noted Nathan’s academic and professional accomplishments, saying he was a graduate of New York University and worked as a music producer, artist and engineer.
“Nathan was the kindest human being you would ever meet,” Lil Jon wrote. “He was immensely caring, thoughtful, polite, passionate and warmhearted.”
The rapper added that the family takes some comfort in knowing they expressed their love to Nathan during their final moments together.
Police have not released additional details regarding the circumstances of Nathan’s death. The investigation remains active.
