Seven Teens Go Wild At A Juvenile Detention Center With Violence And Soap
33 days ago
Seven teenagers are facing a raft of serious charges after a terrifying riot inside an Ohio juvenile detention center that left six officers injured and one officer allegedly sexually assaulted.
The disturbing incident, first uncovered last month by 19 Investigates, was not a spontaneous outburst of violence but a calculated attack that officials say was planned for more than a week. Investigators believe the teens coordinated their moves in advance, waiting for the right moment to strike.
According to authorities, the chaos began when one juvenile managed to get hold of a detention officer’s security badge, a powerful tool used to open restricted doors throughout the facility. With access to areas normally off limits, the group allegedly moved freely through the center, setting the stage for the violent ambush.
Officials say the teens deliberately poured soap and water across the floor, turning it into a slick trap. Surveillance footage reportedly shows them taunting officers from behind protective glass, mocking staff and daring them to intervene.
When officers finally entered the area to regain control, the situation exploded. Two officers slipped on the soaked floor and fell. Video evidence shows multiple teens immediately swarming the fallen officers, beating and kicking them as they lay helpless on the ground.
Investigators say the violence escalated even further when a 17 year old broke a metal clip off a clipboard and threatened to stab officers with the makeshift weapon. During the riot, officials allege one officer was sexually assaulted, adding a deeply disturbing dimension to the attack.
