CCTV footage from Kayseri, Turkey, is making the rounds after capturing a real-life robbery that somehow managed to be both bold and unintentionally hilarious. The incident took place on February 10, 2026, and according to Anadolu Agency, it involved heavy machinery, stolen gold, and a getaway plan that went wildly off the rails.
The footage shows a suspect ramming a forklift straight into a jewelry store, smashing through the entrance in dramatic fashion. Once inside, the thief reportedly stole around 150 grams of gold, valued at roughly $12,000 USD, before making a quick exit.
That’s when things took a turn.
Instead of fleeing in a car, the suspect attempted to escape through snowy streets on a donkey. Yes, an actual donkey. In the snow. Unsurprisingly, the animal left behind clear hoofprints, which police were able to follow with ease.
Officers tracked the footprints and arrested the suspect within hours, putting a swift end to what might be one of the most chaotic robbery attempts caught on camera this year.
