Creepy Video Surfaces On Social Media Allegedly Showing The Canadian School Mass Shooter Laughing Diabolically
31 days ago
An explosive social media post about a deadly school shooting in Canada is drawing widespread attention online, mixing graphic claims, disputed figures, and controversial allegations that authorities say are not supported by evidence.
The post centers on the February 10, 2026, attack at a secondary school in Tumbler Ridge, British Columbia, and identifies the shooter as 18-year-old Jesse Van Rootselaar, a transgender individual who later died by suicide. According to the post, Van Rootselaar killed her mother, stepbrother, a teacher, and five students, before turning the weapon on herself.
However, the post inflates the casualty count, claiming 10 people were killed and 35 wounded, while confirmed reports from Canadian authorities place the toll at eight fatalities and approximately 24 injured.
The post goes further, accusing Canadian institutions of worsening Van Rootselaar’s mental health crisis through so called gender affirming care, including cross sex hormones and SSRI antidepressants, despite no verified evidence that she was receiving such treatments. Officials have not confirmed any details about her medical care.
Experts caution that such claims contradict existing research. Peer-reviewed studies, including a 2022 analysis published in JAMA Network Open, have found that gender affirming interventions are associated with lower rates of depression and suicidality among transgender youth, not higher.
An embedded video circulating alongside the post shows a young woman believed to be Van Rootselaar laughing erratically in a cluttered room, which users claim may have been recorded prior to the attack. Replies to the video reference Satanic imagery, though those claims remain unverified.
